Can. Ch. Kulta's All Star
" Mario"
October 28, 1999 - June 9, 2007
Every so often, one special dog steals an area of your heart and soul. Mario was one of those dogs.......you will stay in our hearts forever Mario!

Our precious Mario was born on October 28, 1999. His father was Ch. Ambertru's Touch Tag and his mother was Kulta's One To Talk. Our boy was officially known as Ch. Kulta's All Star and he was just that - a Star!
Mario lived with his breeder at Kulta Golden Retrievers until he was almost 5 years old. A few days before his 5th birthday, Mario came to live with us on October 25, 2004.
In the spring of 2006, our vet asked us if we had any older dogs to place in a pet home. A young couple had recently lost their Lab and were looking for an older dog - enter Kevin and Annalee. Mario would have the best of both worlds if he went to live with them.......a spoiled house dog and still come to visit the girls whenever he wanted! So, off to Gananoque Mario went....he very quickly wormed his way into Kevin and Annalee's hearts and in no time at all was sleeping in the bedroom with them at night - no crate for Mr. Mario!
Mario with Kevin and Annalee
June 9, 2007 was one of the saddest days of my life.
Annalee, Kevin, Randy, Andrew and I had to say goodbye to our dear sweet Mario.
As both Annalee and I sat with him and held him, Dr. Brian Willows and my son Andrew, helped Mario end his battle and cross over Rainbow Bridge. Mario was a sweet, gentle, loving soul who loved life to it's fullest. Even during the last month of his life, he continued to enjoy his daily car drives, his walks over to give kisses to Molly and Polly (and make Jaxon jealous) and playing with his youngest son. I chose these pictures of Mario because they show the Mario that we all want to remember - even when he was so happy he was airborne!!
We all miss you so much Mario. Your spirit lives on in your baby boy, Ch Masonridge's Kindred Spirits. He is already showing your remarkable temperament and love of life! Your little boy is so good Mario, you will be proud of him in the days and years to come. I know you are watching him and he has big paws to try and follow. As you took your last breath, Mason whimpered - we know that at that moment your spirit left your body and entered his. Mason is going to go and live with Kevin and Annalee because they also miss you so much Mario and he is such a special little boy.
Until we meet again........ I love you!

Thank you so much for watching your baby boy, Mason, Mario!
We are so proud of him - he's a clone of you!
October 29, 2007 - yesterday would have been your 8th birthday Mario. Mason strutted his stuff for you at the Trillium show and came home with Best Puppy in Breed and Reserve Winners. Thanks once again for watching over your beautiful little boy!
June 9, 2008. It's been one year since you left us Mario and the pain has not gotten any better. You are deeply missed every day. It doesn't help either knowing that if that one vet in Ottawa had listened to us, you would probably still be here with us. I begged her to do the treatment for Aspergillosis but she said you did not have it - your necropsy proved her wrong! I get so angry when people say "my vet knows" - they are not gods and can be wrong - you are proof! You have watched over Mason so well in this past year, he finished his Championship in very limited showing. Please continue to watch him sweet Mario. You are forever in our thoughts.
February 28, 2009. Just wanted to let you know that Mason and Polly came to visit today to celebrate Mason's second birthday. It is a week early but Mason was eager to get his birthday cake. Mario, he is so much like you - just a smaller version. He inherited almost everything from you but his size came from his mom, Jessica. He even barks the same way you did when he thinks there is a lady waiting for him :) Polly sends her love to you as well! Casey crossed over the bridge on Feb 18th so keep an eye out for her Mario - she's the new Border Collie that is at the bridge - welcome her Mario, she was Molly's best friend.
March 18, 2009. Mario and Casey - Debbie has a message for you.......
"Mario, maybe you could be airborne, but Casey could crawl under anything! Yes, you will run faster then Casey, because she will nip at your ankles if you're not fast enough!!! Mario and Casey, I realize that you never met Shadow, but he was my best friend. I'm sure that you have given him a warm welcome at the bridge. He was always afraid of people in uniform, especially dark colours, and he was afraid of cement floors...but I know that you are both telling him to stop that nonsense...or maybe there are no uniforms or cement floors on the other side of the bridge!"
June 9, 2009. It's been 2 years now Mario since you left us. Your dad Tag and aunt Alys just celebrated their 12th birthdays on May 17, 2009. You look so much like your daddy Mario. We wish you were still with us. I saw your younger half-brother Riff at a dog show and you would be really proud of your little brother - he is beautiful. Mason is growing up strong and so much like you Mario - we know you are proud of him! Last night, little Pee Wee left us to join you at the bridge - please look after her, she's just a baby, she's only 3 days old. Keep her safe Mario. That's about it for now Mario, remember we all still love and miss you every day.
June 9, 2010. I can't believe it's been 3 years already Mario. It still feels like it was just yesterday. I still see you in the kitchen - I don't think I will ever forget you laying there. And the look on Annalee's face when I offered you the chocolate covered mint............keep watching over all the angels who have left and joined you at the Bridge. We will be together again some day. I miss you sweet Mario!!
